A little about our history

I was young when I started. Not really, I just looked it. Todd Davis 1990
This is Larry the first DJ I hired after becoming the owner in
1995. We were the first company in the valley to wear
tuxedos. Thank you Rossini's Formal Ware.
I jumped right in and started working the
fairs and festival's. As you see my son Taylor and I working the
Riverbank Wine And Cheese Festival
We grew quickly. having six DJ's by the end of 1999.

We contribute this to being the first full time DJ service in
Modesto. I quit my job with
Anheuser-Busch
to be a full time DJ in 1997. This enabled me to be the first
company to meet every bride in person in my office. We also were
able to move the equipment from my two car garage to our first
commercial building.

We became a family of people working together to have
great events.

And we have never looked back. 26 years later we are
still here and still loving it.

Deciding on what type of music
for your wedding reception can be difficult. Between deciding
the menu, hall, flowers, etc., you'll need to choose the perfect
music. After the reception is over, most guests will comment on
the time they had, not on the flowers or the food they ate.
Entertainment can make or break your event. Many couples
struggle with their own personal tastes, family pressures,
budgets and the like. But remember there are criteria that your
disc jockey should meet before you hire them.
First,
decide on your budget. If you're very limited, say $200 or less,
you may find someone who would DJ your event, but they won't be
the professionals you would like them to be. Remember when it
comes to DJ's, pricing generally indicates experience. Disc
Jockeys who command higher rates probably have the experience
you're looking for. NOT ALL D.J.'S ARE GOOD ONES!! Anyone can
put together a sound system, use their personal music, and call
them self a DJ. It takes years of training and polishing to make
the best entertainer possible. The more shows your DJ has done,
the better he/she will be. Be sure to ask them how many
weddings they've done, not just shows. Most companies in
your area that are reputable will charge around the same amount
of money. Beware of those who will cut you a "deal" that seems
too good to be true. As the old saying goes, "you get what you
pay for".
Second, look at the package you're buying. Some
companies will include all services with the price of the show;
others will charge extra to use cordless mic’s, lights formal
attire for the DJ etc. A good company will include all amenities
at no extra charge. You have enough to worry about in planning
your day, and you shouldn't have to try to figure out what
lights or sound system you'll need. That's what you're paying
the professional to decide! Does the DJ know music well? Can
they lead your guests in special dances? Are they interactive
with the crowd? Do they have references? These are all questions
you should be asking.
Finally,
choosing the types of music to have played at your event can be
overwhelming. Sure, this is your day, and you are entitled to
hear the music you love. But remember, your guests are important
too. Be sure to take into account the styles and tastes of your
guests, and relate that info to your DJ Most experienced DJ’s
can "read" a crowd by taking requests. They can get a feel for
what they need to play to keep everyone happy. Again, you're
paying a professional to do the work. Some company's tout they
have thousands of songs available and it's important to have a
good selection. But there will only be time to play so many
songs at your event, so what is really more important is the DJ
and how they interact with your guests. Disc jockeys aren't just
about playing songs; they're about entertaining on every level!
In conclusion here is something
to think about. Most people spend more money on their vegetable
platter than they spend on there DJ! Which one of these items
will your guests remember? Good luck with one of the most
important decisions you'll make regarding your special day!
